Beinn Alligin
"Big Peak"
A jewel of Torridon, famed for its twin Munro summits and the dramatic “Horns of Alligin.” Its ridge is scarred by a vast ancient rockslide, steeped in folklore of mysterious cries (Legends tell of eerie cries echoing from the great scar on its ridge, known as the “black gash of the wailing.” Locals believed those who sought the source met a fatal fall, adding mystery to this already dramatic mountain.). Today, it offers climbers breathtaking views, exhilarating scrambles, and a glimpse into Scotland’s wild geological past.
