The Knoydart Three


A truly wild, remote and rugged Scottish landscape await the Munro Bagger venturing into the Knoydart mountains.
The Rough Bounds they say – well the name definitely holds up. The stunning area where Luinne Bheinn, Meall Buidhe & Ladhar Bheinn reside certainly give a true glimpse of ancient almost untouched UK mainland wilderness.

Munro – Meall Buidhe – Altitude: 946 metres

Munro – Luinne Bheinn – Altitude: 939 metres

Munro – Ladhar Bheinn – Altitude: 1020 metres

Length: 20 miles  Total Ascent: 7500 ft    Surface: Very Rough
Difficulty: Hard / Some Easy Scrambling.
Average Walking Time:  12.00 h

Route starts at Inverie, on the Knoydart peninsula, Mallaig PH41 4PL
The easiest way to Inverie is with Western Isles Cruises. They run a ferry service from Malaig to Inverie – more details HERE
