A broad, whale‑backed mountain that dominates the skyline of Easter Ross. Its summit plateau is a protected National Nature Reserve, home to rare moss‑heath and breeding dotterel, alongside ptarmigan and mountain hares. Steeped in clan history and surrounded by sweeping Highland views, Ben Wyvis is both a natural landmark and a symbol of northern Scotland’s wild heritage.

Route starts at the Ben Wyvis National Nature Reserve Car Park, Garve IV23 2PG.
The car park isn’t the largest and can become very busy at the weekends during the summer months.
